Brian Grey

Brian Grey was born in Brooklyn, New York, grew up in New Jersey, and now lives in Georgia. In December 2024, he joined Achievable as a writer for the Special Enrollment Examination.

Brian’s career path has been unique. In the 1990s, he worked as an art director in New York City. Looking for extra income, he took on seasonal tax preparation jobs and soon discovered a passion for helping people with their taxes. That passion grew into teaching tax courses, managing offices, advising clients, and reviewing returns at a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) clinic.

By 2014, Brian became an Enrolled Agent, officially licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Today, he is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, a Qualified Tax Expert at a Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, and continues preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses. He also enjoys tutoring and consulting.

In his spare time, Brian and his wife, Judy, love watching baseball, football, and basketball, as well as reading motivational and nonfiction literature.
