David Colby
As a passionate and experienced math tutor with a degree in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, I’ve been helping students unlock their potential for years. My tutoring journey began in high school, where I started by helping family members and neighbors. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of tutoring students from middle school through college, focusing on subjects like Intermediate Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. More recently, I’ve also worked with elementary school students on math fundamentals and have tutored high school-level Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Mathematics has always been a core part of my academic life. I started Algebra 1 in 6th grade, advanced to Algebra 2 the following summer, tackled Pre-Calculus in 7th grade, and dove into Calculus in 8th grade. My hard work paid off when I earned a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam at the end of 8th grade—an achievement that fueled my passion for helping others succeed in math.
