I've been a GRE and Gmat tutor for over 9 years now. In that time I've helped dozens of student improve there score and get into the graduate programs of their choice. I like to keep friendly attitude while tutoring, while balancing that with disciplined focus. I love teaching and learning, and I'm happy to help.

One Stop Admissions Shop! 15+ years experience, proven results!
I am a test prep and college admissions expert. With over 15+ years of experience helping students identify, then get accepted to, the best college for them, consider me your one-stop college shop! My previous students have been accepted to all 8 Ivies, UCB and UCLA, Stanford, UChicago, and UK schools including Oxford and Cambridge. I have extensive experience in SAT Verbal test preparation as well as the start-to-finish admissions process.
On a personal note, I grew up in Virginia, attending public schools, a public 'magnet' high school, and the University of Virginia. After completing graduate school (MBA) in Boston, I met my Japanese husband, lived in Tokyo for a decade, and recently returned to the Good Old US of A. I pride myself on connecting with each individual student based on his or her individual interests and goals.
In the past, I have taught students from 3 years old to seniors, but I have focused on teen learners. I have helped students from dozens of countries who wish to attend undergraduate or graduate school in an English-speaking country or program. I support English Proficiency Exam Prep (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo), Standardized Test Prep (SAT, GMAT, GRE), admissions essays, application strategy, school selection, interview preparation, and more.
In terms of other interests, I am a huge reader, love cooking and baking, enjoy travel and anything outdoors, and have studied FIVE foreign languages and earned my PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. I am also active in volunteer work, and I take any chance I can get to play with my two nephews!

You already have most of the tools you need to succeed on the GRE--it's largely just a question of knowing which tool to use when. That's where I come in. By constructing commonsense, easy-to-remember examples, I'll show you how the GRE connects to knowledge and intuitions that you already have, so that you can confidently navigate the questions, instead of just feeling like you're memorizing random procedures. I'm very versatile and have multiples ways to explain GRE concepts: If one approach doesn't work, there's usually another we can try. My methods enabled me to score a 170q/167v, and my students frequently break 320 overall and have scored as high as 336.
