Highly trained to maximize your exam score and get you past a plateau, I'm a Med Ed Learning Specialist, MCAT course and practice test author, and former Director of Academic Support & Career Counseling for UTMB John Sealy School of Medicine, where I provided 1:1 and class support to pre-med pipeline students (MCAT), MD and PA students, and medical school and residency applicants. Not a classic content tutor, I'm a learning expert who has a bachelor's in Natural Sciences, experience working in a hospital lab and years managing plans and analysis of exam content, so I don't teach content but routinely review student practice questions to find errors in thinking as part of a successful plan, and my training in ADHD and learning-related issues means I can develop specific strategies and guide accommodations requests with a high rate of success. I served on JSSOM's admissions committee for two years and have lots of experience reviewing apps, personal statements, secondaries, and MMIs.
