Tonya Bowen

I have been an educator for twenty years. My first seventeen years in education were in the classroom, where I taught middle and high school English. My classes ranged from co-taught inclusion courses to gifted courses. I have taught in a variety of school settings including private, public, and Title 1 schools as well as rural and urban areas. The last three years have been spent as a media specialist. The media specialist's role has evolved in recent years, so most of my school days are spent collaborating with and assisting teachers, working with classes, and handling administrative duties for a variety of programs. My website portfolio is an example of the work I have done during my course studies at Georgia Southern University as well during my time in the media center.
