From work travel to financial planning: How I passed the Series 7 on my first try

For a long time, my work-life balance had been getting increasingly difficult to manage. Between work travel and the demands of my career, my wife and I eventually realized that something needed to change. I knew I wanted to make a career shift, and the opportunity to move into financial planning felt like an exciting next step.

I have always loved learning, so the idea of entering the financial planning industry and gaining a deeper understanding of financial markets appealed to me. At the same time, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from the licensing process. I knew I would need to pass the required exams, but I didn't know what studying for something like the Series 7 would actually look like.

In total, I spent approximately 150 hours preparing for the Series 7. After all that studying, I finally sat for the exam. And I passed on my first try.
