Does this course prepare me for the Personal Lines exam in my state?
Yes, this course will prepare you for the Personal Lines Insurance exam in your state with our effective study tools and resources that cover state-specific policies.

Does this course come with a certificate of completion for my state?
If your state does not require a certificate of completion, then you can use Achievable as your sole test prep course for this exam. The list of states that do not require a certificate of completion are: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.
This course is not currently certified by any other state. In the meantime, please use Achievable in conjunction with another program that offers a certificate of completion.

What does a Personal Lines license allow me to do?
A Personal Lines Insurance license allows you to sell and service personal lines insurance products that protect individuals, as opposed to businesses or other commercial clients. These products include items such as auto insurance, renters' insurance, and homeowners' insurance.
The Personal Lines license does not allow you to sell commercial insurance products, health insurance, life insurance, or annuities, so be sure to check with your state's insurance department for specific information.

How do I sit for my Personal Lines exam?
The Personal Lines Insurance exam is offered both remotely and in person throughout the year. However, exam date availability may vary depending on your nearest Prometric, PSI, or Pearson VUE testing center. Some states also use their own facilities, such as Alabama, which uses the University of Alabama campus.
On the test day, you must present two forms of current signature identification and, depending on the state, a pre-licensing course certificate of completion.

How long does it take for your registration to be official?
Upon passing the Personal Lines Insurance exam, you will receive a paper with instructions on applying for your state license. Exam results are only valid for 12 months.
Upon passing, make sure to apply for your license within 12 months of your exam date to avoid needing to take the exam again.

How many times can you take the Personal Lines exam?
The number of exam attempts allowed varies by state. Candidates usually have the option to retake the exam multiple times, though you must pay the testing fee again. There may also be restrictions such as waiting periods between attempts or limits on the total number of retakes within a specific time frame. The waiting period is usually less than 90 days.
Exams taken online can only be attempted once in all states. Any further exams must be taken in a testing center.
