As a senior at Indiana University, my final year has been very busy. I recently accepted a role in wealth management at Oppenheimer. I knew that passing the FINRA SIE exam before starting my full-time job was a smart move. Getting this done early means I can focus on learning the business when I arrive. I used SLOBS for Sell Limit and Buy Stop orders, and BLISS for Buy Limit and Sell Stop orders. These simple tools helped me remember the rules for order types without getting them mixed up.
The practice exams were probably the most important part of my prep. After every quiz, Achievable provides great reviews and explanations for every answer. Even if I got a question right, I would read the explanation to make sure I understood the "why" behind it. The explanations are written in plain English, which makes them easy to follow. This helped me learn from my mistakes and build my knowledge base every single day.
A flexible routine made all the difference
My routine was very flexible. I would study between my classes at IU or watch a video in the morning. Because the platform is mobile-friendly, I could turn any break into a study session. I never felt like I had to spend all day in the library. I could just work at my own pace whenever I had the energy. This was the only way I could balance the SIE with a full college schedule.
When I finally took the real exam, I felt ready. I had seen my progress and confidence levels go up on the platform, so I knew I was prepared.
